It took two weeks of hard work to construct the set for Rumors. One of the challenges was to make the set very different from the previous previous one (Out of Sight ... Out of Murder), which also had a staircase in it.

	Building the staircase from platforms was the first thing to do. Dave Wooldridge works on the stairs whilst Bob Gerould looks on.
Here the stairs and landing are now complete. You can see the pipework painted on the backdrop, left over from the sewer scene in Guys and Dolls.
	The walls and doorframes have gone up... a patchwork of "flats".
Now the doors have been hung, and the framework for the bannister has been constructed.
