It is without wonder that Lockett's talent has led her to sharing the stage with bay area greats such as, percussionist Danilo Paiz, guitarist Rolando Morales, and bassist Mark Van Waganengen. All of which have shared stages with the late Dizzy Gillespie, the late Cal Tjader, Dave Valentine, Sheila E., Airto, Spearhead, Ruben Blades, War and Jose Feliciano. Lockett's pianist, Gustavo Ramirez from Havana, Cuba has studied music at the International School of Music in Havana, Cuba. The same school which pianist Gonzalo Rubacalva attended. Gustavo has performed with Omara Portundo, Celia Cruz, and Raul Pineda to name a few.

A product of an artistic family, Lockett began singing at age 4 and drawing at age 12. Lockett's work impeccably reflects her dedication to the Arts, and her intense passion in sharing art with others. In 1993, this led her to a new endeavor working as an independent Fine Arts Contract Artist. The primary duties are to develop, market, and present fine art experience workshops, presentation and performances to youth and adults. The workshops include music, movement and rhythm experiences, as well as tapestry, mosaic and instrument making. The focus is to strengthen the existence of the Fine Arts in education and in the community.
