AACT Fest, Region 8
A Special Presentation
Friday and Saturday
March 13 - 14

It's not the Superbowl, or the NBA Playoffs, or even Roller Derby...but the world of Community Theatre has it's competitive side.

Magic Circle Theatre will host the AACT (American Association of Community Theatre) State and Regional Theatre Fest on March 13 and 14 in the Roseville Theater.

On Friday, March 13 theatres from California will each perform a different one act play (50 minutes or less). They could be musicals, classics, comedies, dramas...the field is wide open. Whatever best shows off their talents. One theatre group will be invited to perform in the Regional event the next day.

On Saturday, March 14, theatres from Region 8 (including California, Hawaii and Arizona) will gather in the Roseville Theater to perform for the right to go on to the AACTFest in Tacoma, WA in June and compete against theatres from all over the country.

The public can purchase tickets to watch this amazing event by contacting Magic Circle Theatre at (916) 782-1777, or going on-line to Placer Valley Tourism (www.placervalleytourism.com). For $25 they can watch two days of amazing performances.

Visit the AACT web pages about the Fest.
