The characters of Dr. Seuss spring to life when Magic Circle Theatre's Teen Master Theatre Series presents the musical Seussical! on Feb. 20.

Theodor Geisel, a.k.a Dr. Seuss, was know for including social commentary in his stories. Director Samantha Ellinwood and cast have made a concerted effort to continue his messages by making this production of Seussical! as “Green” as possible. Reused materials have been used for costumes and set pieces wherever possible, and the entire cast has participated in the technical side of the production more than usual in order to have input into the various worlds of Dr. Seuss.

Seussical! is also part of a Roseville centennial event including The Art of Dr. Seuss at the Blue Line Gallery and a poetry competition and book readings at Roseville City Libraries. Speaking of the library, Magic Circle will have a book drive for the Roseville Library during the run of the show!

Seussical! will play Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm Feb. 20 - March 7, with matinees on Feb. 21, 22, 28, March 1 and 7 at 2:00 pm. Performances will be in the Roseville Theater, 241 Vernon St., Roseville. All tickets $13.00. Please call (916) 782-1777 for tickets.
