Press Release
January 5, 2009
Roseville, CA January 5, 2009.
A widower and a divorcee find love under the worst circumstances in Magic Circle Theatre's production of Neil Simon's Chapter Two, opening Jan. 23. George is trying to face life again after the death of his wife of 14 years. His brother, Leo is convinced he needs a little female companionship to help things along. Jennie just ended a six-year marriage (five of which were spent in therapy). She is NOT interested in dating again, in spite of all the efforts of her best friend, Faye. What better should happen than these two people, over-loaded with emotional baggage, meet and fall in love? Consider one of Neil Simon's best plays, this semi-autobiographical story has as much poignancy as it does laughs. Chapter Two will play Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 and Sunday afternoons at 2:00, Jan. 23 - Feb. 21, 2009, in the Tower Theater, 421 Vernon St., Roseville. Tickets are $22 general admission, $20 seniors, and $15 students. Call (916) 782-1777 for tickets. This play contains adult language and situations.
