Auditions
Below are the upcoming auditions at the Magic
Circle Theatre. The Open Auditions are for our Mainstage
productions and are open to everyone.
- Auditions will be held at The
Roseville Theater, 241 Vernon Street, Roseville or The
Tower Theater, 421 Vernon Street, Roseville on the dates
shown. Dates are subject to change - please check this page
again a couple of weeks before the audition you are interested
in.
- We do not audition with prepared monologues.
The director will choose scenes from the script for "cold
readings."
- Clothing and shoes should allow
actors/actresses to move easily. Bare feet are NEVER allowed!
- For Musical auditions, be prepared with 16
bars of a song from a Broadway show (but not from the show you
are auditioning for), and come dressed for movement. If at all
possible, plan to attend both days of auditions. An accompanist
will be provided.
- Headshots and resumes are not required
but useful if you have one.
- The normal rehearsal schedule for Mainstage
productions is Monday through Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to
10:00pm. Bring a list of dates that would conflict with
rehearsals.
- Anyone with dates that conflict with actual
performances need not audition.
