The Sierra Nevada Winds Orchestra
is an organization for and by the people. The musician represent a
variety of occupations including several teachers; choir and band
conductors; school administrators; a criminalist; owners and CEOs of
private companies; medical professionals; a building contractor; the
Nevada County Assessor; several engineers; two outstanding high
school musicians; and representatives of several other occupations.
It is truly an eclectic mini-society. The ensemble rehearses each
Thursday evening and enjoys the "process" as much as the "product".
