20/20 Vision Capital Improvement Campaign
In celebration of the 20th
Anniversary of Magic Circle Theatre, the Board of Directors has
begun a major capital fundraising campaign called 20/20 Vision.
20/20 is a metaphor for
perfect vision; we have a 20 year history of
doing quality theatre in Roseville and we need 20/20 Vision so we
can see clearly what lies ahead of us for the next 20 years.
Beginning on January 1, 2007, the Board of Directors voted
unanimously to add a facility surcharge to every ticket sold
through our box office (with the only exception of the Fairytale
Children's shows). The facility surcharge is necessary to help the
theatre meet its goals for the completion of the remodeling of the Roseville Theatre.
The Board of Directors has a responsibility to make sure the theatre
survives for the next generation. The only way to do that is to: 1.)
improve the facility by repairing and/or replacing aging
equipment around the theater (i.e. fly system, curtains, stage
floor, etc.); 2.) provide a "nest egg" for the future; 3.) eliminate
our debt. The following is a list of the improvements/additions we
wish to make:
Stage Fly System - $175,000.00
Theatre Attic Insulation - $10,000.00
1000 AMP Panel Board (electrical upgrade for
dimmers and A/C) - $30,000.00
Lighting Equipment (dimmers, instruments) - $50,000.00
New Computers (all new LAN computers) - $10,000.00
Ticketing Software (new ticketing and online
ticketing software) - $15,000.00
New Curtains (theatre and lobby) - $10,000.00
Sound System Upgrade (digital sound board,
additional mics, transmitters, etc.) - $20,000.00
Lobby Decor - $14,000.00
Theatre Air Conditioning - $250,000.00
Exterior Paint (complete painting of building
exterior) - $35,000.00
Total - $619,000.00
