From The Producer - Tower Theatre
[The Tower Theatre] Recent newspaper stories have given rise to rumors regarding the Magic Circle Repertory Theatre and the Tower Theatre. Since rumors sometimes grow out of proportion, I thought I would provide you with the facts. (in other words, my rumors)

A couple of months ago the Roseville Arts Center, which had been trying to develop the Tower Theatre for the last 14 years, advised the City of Roseville that they were no longer interested in that project. Subsequently, the City contacted the Magic Circle Rep. to ask if we would be interested. The Magic Circle Rep. submitted its proposal to the City Council on May 15th and it was accepted. We are now working with City representatives to negotiate the details of the lease.

Our proposal calls for us to construct a 242 seat theatre-in-the-round inside the existing audience chamber. When completed, sometime in early 2003, the Tower Theatre will provide the space for us to expand our workshop programs for young people, offer additional children's plays and special events, offer dance classes and offer a second season of plays and musicals for adults and families. All of this is in addition to the regular programs offered at the Roseville Theatre. It is our goal to offer you a second season of terrific plays so you can be entertained by a Magic Circle production every month! We took our name from our original theatre-in-the-round and those of you who have been with us since those days remember how much fun that was. Keep watching these pages for more information on our progress. Bob
