| Adopt-A-Seat Update |
In the early 1900s President Teddy Roosevelt asked Congress for an appropriation to send the Great White Fleet around the world. Congress refused. Teddy then notified them that he had enough money left in the budget to send the fleet half way around the world, if Congress wanted the fleet back they had better appropriate the money.
The Magic Circle Rep. is in a similar position. By the terms of our contract with the seat company, we have already sent 25% of the seat money to them to schedule the time in the factory. The seats will be taken out, packed and shipped to Grand Rapids, Michigan for renovation on May 7th. At that time we will owe the seating company 50% of the total contract amount, which we have. To get the seats back after renovation, around July 1, we must pay the balance of the contract and we are still several thousand dollars short of that total. If you have been procrastinating about adopting a seat, now is the time!
