| Hold on to Your Sides! "Moon Over Buffalo" Arrives at Magic Circle Rep. |
The hilarious farce by Ken Ludwig that brought Carol Burnett back to Broadway, Moon Over Buffalo opens at the Magic Circle Rep. on Friday, March 16 and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm through April 14th. "Moon..." is a story of a troop of "B" level actors performing "Cyrano" and "Private Lives" in Buffalo NY. The lead actors, a husband and wife team, dream of getting a second chance at stardom in Hollywood, which seems unlikely. When their big opportunity comes all heck breaks loose in the forms of a pregnant young actress, a bottle of whiskey and a TV weatherman dressed as General Patton. This craziness is directed by Rosemarie Gerould at her usual break-neck pace.
Rosemarie has assembled a stellar cast with a mixture of audience favorites and newcomers. Heading the list as the husband and wife team are multiple Birdsall Award winners Allen Ponce and Michelle Pabst. Michelle has been affiliated with the Magic Circle Rep. since her graduation from Roseville High school when she played Mother Bear in Goldielocks for our Children's Repertory Theatre Company.
