Sleeping Beauty Continues
[Spinning wheel] The classic children's story Sleeping Beauty continues every Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. through May 13th.

Unless you were born on Mars and only recently arrived on this planet, you know the story of the young girl who is put under a spell by a witch and is to sleep for one hundred years, until she is rescued by a handsome prince. To rescue the girl, the prince must first do battle with the witch. In our story, the girl is watched over by her faithful servant Timmons and the prince is assisted by a helpful fairy, Tootie, who actually slows the process down. The highlight of the story is the battle between the prince and the witch, which, in true Magic Circle fashion is non-violent. Instead of throwing punches, the combatants throw insults!

The witch is played by former Magic Circle Rep. workshop student and Birdsall award nominee, Anne Marie Gallagher while the prince is played by Garrett Vander Luen, who won the supporting actor award at our first high school drama competition. Two time Birdsall award winner Jennifer Vaughn plays the wacky fairy, Tootie and Magic Circle Rep. regular Simon Hunt appears as Timmons. The title role of the Sleeping Beauty is played by another former workshop student, Pheonix Vaughn.

There is something in this story for children of all ages from 3 to 103 and all tickets are just $5. Tickets are available at the door. For more information, please call the theatre at 782-1777.
