[Mountains] The Magic Circle Rep. opens the new year with Rodgers and Hammerstein's great musical The Sound of Music. This final collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II was to win six Tony awards (including Best Musical) and five Oscars (including Best Picture) and go on to become one of the world's best loved musicals.

[Duckling] The next offering for children by the Magic Circle Children's Repertory Theatre Company will be "The Ugly Duckling" written jointly by Rosemarie and Bob Gerould.
1998/99 Birdsall Awards
[Award] The Birdsall Award program for the 1998/99 season was held on October 3rd with over 150 in attendance. As usual the event was conducted by co-masters of ceremony Rosemarie and Bob Gerould with comic relief provided by Keri Newton.
