2006 Awards Winners
The nineteenth annual Ceremony of Birdsall Awards for Excellence in Theatre for the 2005/2006 season was held on Saturday, October 28 at the Annual Black Tie Gala, Featuring the Birdsall Awards at the Roseville Theatre.
Named for the late actor and director Bill Birdsall, a longtime friend of the theatre, the Birdsall awards are Roseville's version of the Tonys. Each year, Magic Circle season ticket holders vote on their favorite performances for leading actor and actress and supporting actor and actress, in the two categories "Musical" and "Non-Musical". The evening was a huge success, combining our annual fundraising gala with the Birdsall Award presentation. The evening began with a reception and silent auction. The tables closed at 8:00 and the show began. It started with a live auction, which raised some good money for the Magic Circle Theatre. After the auction, the awards cremonies began. The awards were interspersed with some delightful previews of songs from our upcoming season. Here are this year's Bill Birdsall Award nominees and winners.
