Wade M. Lucas

"All the world's a stage, and we are merely players...."

Wade is truly a child of the 70's! Growing up and living in Yankton, South Dakota most of his life, he grew up loving television shows like Happy Days and Starsky and Hutch and also became a huge fan of the rock group KISS. He recalls putting on makeup and singing along with the records. It was then he knew he wanted to be on the stage! He started playing drums in grade school and played for the schools' production of Grease. He also did percussion for Camelot and The Fantastiks.

But being in the orchestra pit just didn't cut it for Wade. He wanted to try his hand at acting. He got various roles in Oliver, Mame, and Man of La Mancha for the Lewis and Clark Lakeside Theater in Yankton. He finally landed his first lead role as Max in Lend Me a Tenor.

He worked as a disc jockey for the local AM radio station for a while and even got a chance to direct a play; Deathtrap in which he also acted as one of the lead characters.

After moving to Sacramento, he got back into acting with the help of his friend, Gregory Smith, by a last minute plea to become The White Queen for Alice Through the Looking Glass at the T Street Theater.

Now it isn't everyday that you see a guy like Wade being a "queen", but sometimes you make sacrifices for your art. It turned out very funny because Greg became the Red Queen and the kids loved it!

Wade has also been in productions of The Lonestar Love Potion at The Woodland Opera House, The Secret Life of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde at the T Street Theater, Cinderella and Aladdin with the Little BIT Players, and in the Garbeau's production of Love, Sex, and the IRS. He currently is in the rotating cast of Suspects Murder Mystery Dinner Theater in Old Sacramento.

Wade got a chance to do stunt work in an independent film called End of the Law. It was shot in Sacramento and debuted at the Sacramento Film Festival. It is hopefully going to be released nation-wide.

Some of Wade's comic inspirations come from John Ritter, Jack Black, Bill Murray, and Chris Farley.

When not acting or playing drums, Wade works for Allstate Insurance and spends time with his new wife, Ashley.
