Mari Oyaizu Carson made her Sacramento theatre debut in the fall of 2002 as Betty and Mrs Trotsky in All in the Timing presented by Lookout! Players at the Eagle Theatre. The following year she appeared as Charlotte in The Real Thing and made her directorial debut in spring 2004 with Beyond Therapy, also for Lookout. In the past two years she has appeared in Equus, Top Girls, I Remember Mama and most Recently as Nancy in The Women at City Theatre.
