Lyra's debut performance for Magic Circle is The King and I, and she has long dreamed of performing the role of Tuptim. Since turning pro at age of 17 as a stage actress, she decided to take up music for college and graduated with a diploma in Voice from the University of the Philippines College of Music in 2004. She then moved to California, and in 2005, she joined the Sacramento Opera company for the productions of Strauss' Die Fledermaus and Puccini's Turandot. She is scheduled to perform in their production of Verdi's Aida this November and Bizet's Carmen next year. She is currently a voice coach for Sierra Dance Academy in Roseville, where she is also a dance student and competes in lyrical and hip-hop dance competitions statewide.
