John Chitambar

John is pleased to be back on stage at Magic Circle after a short break. He last appeared here as Cervantes/Don Quixote in The Man of La Mancha for which he won the Birdsall award for best actor.

John has been devoted to the performing arts for over thirty years as an actor, director and playwright. Among his many acting roles (all of which he has enjoyed), he is thrilled to have played lead roles in A Little Night Music, Evita, Jekyll and Hyde, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Fantasticks. On the Magic Circle stage, audiences have also seen him in Wait Until Dark, Rumors, The Devil and Daniel Webster, and Funny Girl.

With three nominations and one award for best actor, John is thrilled to be playing the role of King in The King and I, one of his all time favorite musicals, and with such a wonderful cast of actors. I dedicate my performance to my loving wife and three children all whom I love so very extraordinarily!
