Deborah Douglas

The Magic Circle is becoming quite a habit for Deborah and she is delighted to be returning as Sister Hubert because she had such a divine experience in Nunsense last year! Most recently, Deborah donned her sea legs and set sail in the Davis Musical Theatre Company's production of Show Boat, portraying the role of Queenie.

Deborah recently relocated to Davis from Southern California where some of her favorite roles included: Rose Alvarez in Bye, Bye Birdie, Nancy in Oliver!, the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Lorelle in Dreamgirls, Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls, Anita in West Side Story and Bloody Mary in South Pacific.

A Musical Theatre major, Deborah enjoys all aspects of The Performing Arts including directing, musical directing, and choreography, as well as educational and outreach programs. A few years ago, Deborah went on a quest for new and exciting opportunities to hone her performance skills and discovered women's barbershop singing! Deborah is a proud member of Sweet Adelines International and sings baritone with the Voice of the Valley Chorus in Sacramento. Surprisingly, Deborah admits as much as she loves performing, she would never consider giving up her day job . . . with the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis.
