Carol Merlini
![]() This Auburn native has been with Magic Circle theatre since 2007. Carol's very first experience in a large scale production was in the Magic Circle production of Fiddler on the Roof, in which she portrayed the part of Shandle, mother of Motle Camzoil the tailor. The spring of 2008 she had the opportunity and privilege of portraying Princess Polly in Hats, the Musical, her biggest challenge yet. Carol attends the vocal studio of Sharon Erman. Carol spent her entire childhood and the majority of her adult life in Auburn. She is a graduate of Placer Union High School. Christened as a “doer of many and master of none” by her father, Carol has lived up to that title. She has been a member of a Master Hand Car (that's railroad hand car) team and has won several national titles as well as setting an international speed record at the events in Port Moody, British Columbia. Her team was featured twice on ESPNs Amazing Games. In her mid forties she competed in all natural body building and earned two first, a two third place awards. In the summers Carol and her husband, Richard, spend a lot of time in the out doors at Weber Lake fishing and riding All Terrain Vehicles. Carol is currently employed at the California State Teachers' Retirement System as a portfolio manager, but is planning to retire in July. Productions
