Allie Cohen
![]() Allie (born Alejandra Rachel Cohen) (March 5, 1991) is an 11th grader at Colfax High School, where she is a member of the Varsity Cross-Country team and maintains a 4.0 grade point average. In the last 2 and 1/2 years, Allie has morphed into a true thespian, appearing as a soloist in her Freshman production (a Cole Porter and Gershwin anthology called Anything Goes), then at the age of 14 was cast as Sandy in the Auburn Summer Theater Academy production of Grease (2005). Early in 2006, Allie played Belinda in Noises Off, directed by fellow Magic Circle actor, Devin Jewett. Last summer she gained additional classic theatre experience, playing two small roles in Julius Caesar at the Magic Circle. Last May, Allie (a 10th grader) won the $1000 first prize in the Rotary Club District 5190 Speaking Competition. At Auburn Family Taekwondo, she is a Third Degree Black Belt and until recently was a Junior Instructor at the local martial arts school. Last month, at the Gold Country Fair Talent Competiton in Auburn, Ca, Allie won 2nd place (a $50 cash prize) for singing "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. Allie loves to sing, she's been doing it in front of audiences since she was 8 years old....she has also sung at dozens of weddings, at an "Opera Concert" (June, 2006 at Dutch Flat Hotel), and for the last two years has been a member of the elite singing group, the Colfax High School Chamber Choir.
