About Us
Magic Circle Theatre was founded in 1987 by Bob
and Rosemarie Gerould. In our twenty years of providing quality
entertainment to the residents of Placer County, we have gone
through a tremendous amount of changes. We have grown to such
heights, we now operate the largest Children's Theatre Workshop in
the state of California and we operate the second largest Community
Theatre in the state of California. We operate on a $1 million
dollar budget every year. We operate two theaters on Vernon Street
in historic downtown Roseville: the 80 year old Roseville and
recently refurbished Tower.
We are in the midst of a major
fundraising campaign in an effort to raise money to help refurbish
the Roseville and update some slightly antiquated equipment around

The mission of Magic Circle Theatre is to
entertain and educate people of all ages, thereby enriching the
cultural life of our community at large.
We achieve our mission through the following:

produce a broad range
of theatrical presentations of the highest possible quality
through innovative programming and the fullest possible
inclusion of our diverse community;

provide hands-on
learning experiences in all aspects of theatre production and
management for youth and adults;

enhance the
development of youth through theatre, music and through
cooperative ventures with local schools via workshops and the
sharing of resources;

generate the necessary resources and efficiently manage those
resources in support of the above goals.
